At Downtown Spokane Public Library Branch, Room 1B, 906 W. Main Street, Spokane, WA
This presentation will highlight ‘The BIG Year’ competition between Tim O’Brien and Carl (a.k.a. Birdman and Mothman). The theme concerns this line from Antoine de Saint-Exupery’s classic, The Little Prince: “What is essential is invisible to the eye.” In this presentation Carl will relate highlights from his first full season of moth identification in the area, and how he found over 400 species!
Dr. Carl Barrentine is a retired Biology professor, who approximately one year ago returned to the Inland Northwest, after devoting much of his career to the study of moths of the upper Midwest. You can follow him on Facebook.
The next monthly meeting will be in January 2019, there won’t be a meeting in December because of the holiday season.
