Join us this Saturday for a Washington Butterfly Association field trip to Bethel Ridge near Naches where we plan to meet around 9:00 am.
Bethel Ridge, at about 6000 ft, is home to a diversity of butterflies that are sometimes abundant. Parnassians, Fritillaries and Blues dominate but we can expect to see 20-30 species from all major families.  The new generation of anglewings should be emerging including Oreas.  The flower show should be impressive as will be the views to Mt Rainier and Mt Adams.  And best of all the temperature will be a pleasant 78 degrees,  far below the expected 105 degrees forecast for Yakima and vicinity!
