Dr. Robert Pyle will give our WBA presentation on 1 November at 6PM. The title of his talk is “From Monks Wood to Hollywood: Fifty Years in Insect Conservation.” This presentation was originally given to the Royal Entomological Society (RES), of which Bob is an honorary Fellow. Bob received the RES Award for Insect Conservation in 2022 and they asked him to discuss the work that led to this award.

The format for this meeting will be a little different to accommodate the opportunity to see this excellent presentation without requiring Bob to give the presentation a second time. We will play the RES video and can all watch along through a shared Zoom screen. All you have to do is show up.

But, the format of the presentation may make it challenging to clearly see the slides if you’re using a small screen. So I’ll provide the link here in case anyone wants watch it in advance.

Bob will watch the video with us and will be available for discussion and questions after the presentation, so it will be worth joining us even if you’ve already seen the presentation.
