Common in spots further north in Pend Oreille County, it is very unusual to see it here. It has just appeared to me once as an apparent migrant before, puddling near the Spokane River in Peaceful Valley two Septembers ago. This butterfly was one of four such individuals we saw, making me think it must be a resident here as well!
