David Droppers

David Droppers reports the final results of his butterfly inventory project on the Mountain Loop Highway.  He had conducted this project in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, and presented his results now that the field work is completed.  So what did he find?  What has been hidden in relatively unsampled Snohomish County? And what’s next?  David discussed the big takeaways from 8 years in the field, as well as remaining questions and perplexing finding, and reflected on what it’s like to dive deep into the butterfly community of one specific area.
